Abstract

The Whitehaven Connection Manuscript contains a 1996 manuscript titled “Whitehaven Connection”, written by Richard Waller Cooper. The manuscript contains a history of Whitehaven through primary sources, interviews, newspapers, and photocopied maps.

Administrative History

The town of Whitehaven was founded approx. 1708 near the Wicomico River. It has been a minor port town within the Wicomico area until a gradual decline in the 20th century. Since then, Whitehaven has been entered into the National Historical Trust.
