Abstract

This collection contains 300 slides related to education. These include slides of school houses around the state of Maryland, as well as classroom materials. There are no dates on the slides, but they are likely from the early 20th century.

Scope and Content Note

This collection includes a wide range of slides pertaining to education. The first two boxes are images of classrooms and facilities. There are many slides of students in class and out in the field for recreation. The rest of the boxes contain images of school projects and materials that were used in class for a variety of subjects, such as history, biology, English, and religion. The majority of the slides were distributed by the J. Sussman Photo Stock Company in Baltimore, and some slides were produced by the Keystone View Company and the Chicago Apparatus Company.
