In 1994, former Salisbury University student Sally Rutka collected folk material. Her collection focuses on the old-fashioned style and tradition upheld for four generations of families running The Lankford Hotel. This piece retraces the history of the hotel since its establishment in the 1930's, highlighting the major changes throughout the years and the issues the owners had to deal with.The student, who was the manager at that time, interviewed her mother and her daughter to discuss about their hotel.
